At our brick and mortar permanent jewelry studio in New Albany, IN, we accept walk-in appointments only! Just stop in during our opening hours to receive your next piece of permanent jewelry.

Permanent Jewelry FAQ

What is permanent jewelry?

Permanent jewelry is jewelry that does not have a clasp! We will determine together your perfect fit, add a connector, and the connector will be welded closed. Your jewelry will stay on until you remove it. 

Does permanent jewelry hurt?

Not at all! We would never put our customers in harm’s way. While it does not hurt, there is a very bright light from the weld. We ask that our customers wear safety glasses or look away and close their eyes. 

Can permanent jewelry be removed?

Absolutely! We often have customers that need to remove their jewelry for unexpected medical procedures, during pregnancy, or just want to take a break. You can safely remove your jewelry at home by cutting at the round jump ring with something as simple as nail clippers or small wire cutters. If you’re unsure, just stop in, and we can safely remove. We will give you a small ziploc bag to store your chain. 

How long does permanent jewelry last?

This is probably our most asked question! The life of your jewelry will depend highly on your lifestyle, the fit of your chain, and how you care for your jewelry.  While our welds will NOT break, our chains are not indestructible. 
We try to learn more about your lifestyle to determine the best chain options. 
Sports/Extra curriculars, Occupation, and even pets can cause breakage. We always recommend for all customers not to get them too loose, as they may get caught in things. 
If you have concerns please don’t hesitate to ask. 
We’ve had many pieces last several years. Our chains are tarnish free and meant to last a while! 

Do you offer walk-ins?

YES! We prefer walk-ins and are not currently taking booked appointments. We find the experience is oftentimes spur of the moment, and it’s hard for our customers to commit to appointment times with such busy schedules. 
If you have a group larger than 3, please reach out and let us know so that we can have proper staffing and give the best experience to all customers in store.
